Pastel Drawing of Back Study

Open Fig­ure Draw­ing Ses­sion at the Riv­oli Art Mill

Join the artists at the Riv­oli Art Mill on Sun­day after­noons from 2pm-​5pm for an Open, Unin­structed Fig­ure Draw­ing Session.

Live model will be pos­ing in 15 one minute ges­tures, 3 five minute sketches and 1 fif­teen minute pose. 3 thirty minute poses will fol­low with breaks in between for the model.

Cost: $10.00 per per­son.
Sun­day After­noons: 2pm-​5pm Ongo­ing

Please pro­vide your own mate­ri­als and easel. The space can hold 10 – 12 peo­ple com­fort­ably. Please arrive 15 – 20 min­utes early to reserve your spot.

Daniel Gill studied art with Joe Helseth and Bill Ransom in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He began his career as an art director in 1983 and has been an award winning graphic designer-illustrator for more than 20 years. Daniel has taught illustration at the Portfolio Center in Atlanta, Georgia and at The Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon. He was one of the founding members of the Illustrators’ Jam which later became Raw Visceralia, an art experience at PNCA. Pastels were Daniel’s first love. Counting Gary Kelley, Edward Degas and Toulouse Lautrec among his influences. He discovered oils in 2006 and is currently working on the series, Connective Tissue. Daniel lives in Portland, Oregon.

    Hi there! I saw you need a model this Sun­day. I’m going to be in Chat­tanooga this Sun­day. I’m con­sid­er­ing relo­cat­ing here from Austin, Tx. I’ve mod­eled for many groups in Austin– Austin Museum of art, UT, paint­ing group, South­west­ern Uni­ver­sity, Austin Com­mu­nity Col­lege. I began mod­el­ing 5 years ago in Chat­tanooga. I’m 28.
